Fellowship Program Guidelines

Overview of the Raj Goyle for New York State Comptroller Fellowship Program:

Raj Goyle for New York State Comptroller is currently seeking passionate, proactive, and detail-oriented individuals to assist with field operations. This fellowship is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an important race and contribute meaningfully to a high-stakes campaign. Visit rajgoyle.com to learn more! Fellows will work closely with campaign staff to support grassroots organizing efforts, assist with events, research, social media and help mobilize voters. The position is hybrid, combining remote responsibilities with regular in-person engagement, including canvassing and events in your region, across the state. Remote-only opportunities are also available. A commitment of at least 10 hours per week is required. This is an unpaid volunteer role, but we can provide class credit as needed.

Key Program Features:

  • Political Networking: Engage with industry professionals, enhancing your political connections.

  • Resume Enhancement: Receive personalized feedback to improve your professional presentation.

Objective: This program is tailored to provide you with essential skills and resources, paving your way to a successful career in politics, whether you aspire to a part-time role or a full-fledged position in campaign management.

Commitment and Location:

  • Time Commitment: This fellowship requires a commitment of at least 6-8 hours per week, with flexibility on hours distribution.

  • (1 hr) 1 weekly fellows call with check-ins, educational material, and trainings

  • (3 hrs) At least one shift of canvassing/visibility event

  • (1 hr) External outreach to other college/campus clubs or leading a phonebank

  • (1 hr) Campaign tasks like data entry, copy writing for endorsement questionnaires etc

  • Last priority: (2 hrs) Community outreach in network, relationship building

  • Location: Fellows who live in NYC and/or ANYWHERE across New York State are highly encouraged to apply, and should expect to work in a hybrid capacity. 

  • Program Duration: The fellowship will run through Primary Election Day on June 23, 2026. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Compensation: Unpaid, but more than happy to provide college credit or volunteer hours.
